Our mission at Healia is to be an essential part of your health decision-making process by providing you with the highest quality information and support . To support this mission, we accept advertising on our site and provide our Advertising Policy to explain the types of advertising that we accept and the limitations we impose to ensure the best experience for each of our site visitors.

We believe it's important that you can tell the difference between advertising and the other types of independent or editorial content on our site. "Sponsored by" is used to label content that advertisers have paid to associate with an article or service, but the content or service itself is not editorially controlled or influenced by that advertiser. We identify this form of advertising with a "Sponsored by" statement next to the content or service.

We identify paid text advertising appearing alongside of search results or on other pages of our site.

Advertisers have no influence on how search results are displayed on our site.

Search results in response to search queries or keywords entered in the Healia search boxes are editorially and algorithmically programmed by us to provide the highest quality and most relevant responses. Advertisers do not influence the order in which results are presented.

We give you choice and control over personalized advertisements you may receive.

In our continuing effort to give you information that is the most relevant so you can make an informed decision, there are many areas of personalization on our site. The information you provide about yourself also allows us to tailor the advertising in a way that best serves your interest and needs.

When we show you advertising, we may use your age, gender, location and the history of your activities on the site, along with the content you are viewing. There are certain kinds of advertising we do not accept.

To help ensure the integrity of our site and support our mission of providing what you need to make an informed health-care decision, Healia has strict imitations on the types of advertising we accept. Advertisers are prohibited from placing any advertising that:

• Contains false or misleading claims.
• Promotes products that are illegal or whose distribution would violate the law.
• Promotes the sale of firearms, ammunition or weapons designed to inflict serious bodily harm.
• Promotes betting or gambling.
• Promotes pornography.
• Is for online pharmacies that are not compliant with the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS) program.
• Advocates a political, religious or controversial public position or candidate for public office.
• Makes health claims that are not adequately substantiated.

We do not accept advertising that promotes alcohol or tobacco products. However, we may accept promotions for educational campaigns such as youthful smoking or responsible drinking messages that are consistent with efforts to educate the general public.
